A delegation from Edo State who participated in the Nigeria Agrofood Fair and Plastprintpack Conference, held March 26-28 at the Landmark Center in Lagos pitched the investment opportunities in the state.

The Edo team, led by Abdullah Abdul-kadir of the Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO), aimed to attract investment to the state by highlighting its attractive business environment.

The team presented Edo State’s advantages to potential investors, including a friendly business climate, strong government support, abundant natural resources, and a strategic location.

“Edo’s central position offers easy access to a vast market, with over 40 million people residing in neighboring states,” ESIPO noted.

Edo State’s participation was facilitated by Germany’s development agency, GIZ. This participation allowed Edo to connect with over 100 international businesses present at the exhibition.

Some of the investors at the session include the German-African Business Association with over 500 members; Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria who are basically into waste recycling; AGROTRUST Consulting -Engineering -Trade, manufacturers of machines for agricultural products among others.

The Nigeria Agrofood Fair and Plastprintpack Conference, organized by the German Fairtrade organization, provided a platform for Edo State to showcase its investment potential to a global audience.
