An aircraft operated by Dana Air with registration number 5NBKI with about 83 passengers on board crashlanded at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos in the early hours of today.

The airline on its official X handle said all passengers on board disembarked unhurt without injuries or scare as the crew handled the situation with utmost professionalism.

The airline said the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau (NSaiB) and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Agency (NCAA) have been duly informed about the incident and the aircraft involved has been grounded by our maintenance team for further investigation.

Dana Air thanked the airport authorities, and their crew for their very swift response in ensuring the safe disembarkation of all passengers following the incident.

The airline apologized to the passengers on the affected flight as well as commended them for their patience and understanding.

“We wish to reassure our passengers that their safety will always be our top priority, and we are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident,” Dana Air said.
