Julián Álvarez sealed City’s victory with a goal in the 85th minute, while Wolves managed a solitary goal from Hwang Hee-chan.
As the EPL season reaches its climax, with Arsenal having two games and City three, the title race is poised to be fiercely contested.
City’s unbeaten streak now extends to 19 Premier League games, with their only dropped points since February coming in draws against title rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
