The new Ojon of Lagos, Chief Tajudeen Adisa Abisogun has paid a thank you visit to the palace of Oba of Lagos, HRM Rilwan Akiolu, three months after his coronation as a whitecap chief.

A large number of the Agoro family were on hand to accompany the new Ojon of Lagos on his thank you visit and to further receive the blessings of the monarch and other chiefs.

At the ceremony, Akiola took time to pray and advise the new chief on his conduct with other chiefs and the palace. Akiolu also implored Abiosogun not to abandon his people after he has been elated but get closer to ensure that he was abreast about their successes and challenges.

The Oba of Lagos used the ceremony to debunk the rumours and claims that he was asking for N50m to install vacant chiefs, maintaining that coronation of the Ojon of Lagos has testified that those spreading the rumours are liars.

The monarch enjoined Nigerians to continue to believe in Nigeria and its leaders as things would still be better in the country. “We should just be patient as things will surely take shape. We should love God and not be covetous. All yea children of Agoro, you shall prosper, but always speak the truth because that is the ultimate.”
