The nominees for the Nigeria Premier Football League Player of the Month award for March have been unveiled.
The players shortlisted are Clinton Jephta (Niger Tornadoes), Deputy Echeta (Rivers United),
Junior Lokosa (Sporting Lagos),
Michael Ibe (Katsina United), Sikiru Alimi (Remo Stars), and Ubong Friday (Akwa United).
Veteran forward Ubong Friday netted five goals for Akwa United, including a hat-trick and a brace earlier in the month.
Sikiru Alimi returned to scoring with three goals for Remo Stars. He is currently the NPFL joint-top scorer with 14 goals.
Former Bendel Insurance forward Deputy Echeta netted three goals to help Rivers United win two of the five games played in the month.
Clinton Jephta has continued to prove that he is tailored for the NPFL after his move to Niger Tornadoes from NNL side FC One Rocket at the start of the season.
Japhet grabbed four goals for the Ikon Allah Boys in April.
Both Michael Ibe and Junior Lokosa also make the list after scoring three goals each for Katsina United and Sporting Lagos, respectively.
DAILY POST recalls that Akwa United forward Sani Suleiman won the award last month.
The winner of the award will be announced later in the week.
