Mambilla Hydro-Electric Power plant

Promoter of Mambilla Hydro Project, Leno Adesanya, has restated his stance to execute the Mambilla Hydro Power project in Taraba state.

In his statement, he pointed out that as a grandfather and a proud father of well-achieved educated men and women, his dream is to see a Nigeria that would boast of uninterrupted power supply.

He pointed out how in his late 60s, money wasnt his only motivation, but leaving a lasting legacy, saying It was embarrassing that the giant of Africa was still dealing with epileptic power supply.

Having been on the Mambilla Hydro Power project for over two decades, the last thing is to give up now, stressing that it was God Almighty, who gives ideas and power to make wealth.

He added: Im a staunch litigant and project contracting is serious business. Whilst I mean well for my country, my rights to execute a project conceptualised by my team has to be protected to the letter.

Hydropower electricity, renewable source of energy has become more popular globally, and most essential for Nigeria and the North East region.

Chairman, Sunrise Power Transmission (SPTL), further pointed out how decentralisation of the national grid is even so important as a national security perquisite. We cant have all our electricity coming from the national grid in Oshogbo.

When asked if worried about negative report in the media, he responded by saying bad news sells: Facts over fiction, and truism over fallacy.

Sunrise conceptualised the development of the Mambilla Hydro project over two decades, on a build, operate and transfer basis not to be in court or in a battle with FGN.

Funds, foreign technical partners and expertise have been raised towards actualising this viable project. Till date, not a penny has been paid by Federal Government to Sunrise.
