Rangers technical adviser, Fidelis Ilechukwu has stated that his team is not thinking about winning the Nigeria Premier Football League title this season.
The Flying Antelopes currently top the NPFL standings with 55 points from 32 games.
Remo Stars and defending champions Enyimba are also among the front runners for the title.
Ilechukwu believed that the two clubs have the edge over Rangers in the title race.
Rangers are out of the 2024 president Federation Cup after the defeat against Kano Pillars in the Round 64 games.
“I have said this on different platforms, and maybe I need to say this again. Winning the league is not the target for this season,” he stated.
“Enyimba, Remo Stars and others have an advantage.
“That is football for you. It happens sometimes. It is painful. A first-time exit in the very first round of the competition for us.
“We are not happy but there is nothing we can do. I wish Kano Pillars the best of luck.
“We now have to focus on the league as we appeal to our fans for disappointing performance in the Federation Cup.”
