A dramatic events unfolded on Tuesday as police confirmed a shooting incident outside Drake’s luxurious house, sparking a massive investigation.

The shooting, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, left one individual critically injured with a gunshot wound to the chest.

According to Toronto’s City News, the victim was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

The Toronto police department received reports of the shooting at approximately 2:09 a.m. ET in the affluent Bridle Path neighborhood, where Drake’s residence is located.

As the investigation continues to unfold, authorities have yet to release any descriptions of the suspect or the vehicle they fled in.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, but it comes at a time when tensions are running high between Drake and fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The two musicians have been engaged in a heated feud, exchanging diss tracks on a daily basis. While it’s uncertain whether the shooting is directly related to their rivalry, the timing has undoubtedly raised eyebrows.

In an emotional statement released , the chart-topping artist revealed his decision to step away from the spotlight for an indefinite period, recognizing the urgent need to take care of his physical well-being.

Drake disclosed this on his SiriusXM radio show, Table For One, on Friday, just hours after the release of his new album, For All The Dogs.

He stressed that he had been dealing with stomach troubles for years and that the break, which would last for a year or more, would allow him to concentrate on his health.
