Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has extended his contract until 2027, the Premier League club announced on Tuesday.

Emery’s tenure at Villa Park has been remarkable, steering the team from the brink of relegation when he assumed control from Steven Gerrard in November 2022 to the verge of Champions League qualification.

Currently positioned fourth in the Premier League standings, Aston Villa holds a six-point advantage over Tottenham, who is in fifth place, although Tottenham has two games yet to play.

Moreover, Aston Villa has secured a spot in the Europa Conference League semifinals. Their next challenge awaits against Olympiakos as they strive for their first European title since 1982 when they clinched the European championship.
