Kogi Assembly confirms new commissioner

The Kogi State House of Assembly has confirmed Acharu Okpanachi as a commissioner.

Okpanachi was confirmed during plenary on Wednesday.

DAILY POST gathered that Okpanachi was asked to take a bow and go when she appeared before the lawmaker for screening.

The new commissioner is an indigene of Idah Local Government Area of the State.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Multi-door Court House and other matters connected therewith, Bill 2024, and Kogi State HIV and Aids-based discrimination and protection of the right and dignity of people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS and related matters, Bill 2024, have passed through first readings in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

The House adjourned sitting to 30th April 2024.
