Namtira Bwala, a student of Lead British International School subjected to bullying by schoolmates

A former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential election campaign, Daniel Bwala, has debunked claims that the girl who was bullied in a viral video is his daughter.

Bwala refuted the claim through a statement on his X handle on Tuesday morning.

“My attention has been drawn to a viral video circulating on all social media platforms alleging that my daughter was bullied or assaulted,” Bwala said.

“For the records, the young girl in the video is not my daughter, I do not know her, nor do I have any of my children studying in that school.”

The viral video showed a female student of Lead British International School being slapped repeatedly by a schoolmate.

The school said it has commenced a thorough investigation into the incident to take appropriate disciplinary actions.

Bwala said the girl in the video should be commended for showing extreme decorum and restraint.

He, however, said if it were any of his children, the scenario would not go without a fight in exercise of self defense.

The lawyer added that he has reported the incident to law enforcement agents because it could have been anybodys daughter.

He said he decided to take this step because violence and bullying are not acceptable in our society.

According to him, the person had acted before chatting him up by contacting the so-called school.

Bwala disclosed that the school claimed both girls are minors and therefore should be treated as such.
