President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the 2024 Special World Economic Forum (WEF) on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development.
This marks the second leg of his official visits, following engagements in the Netherlands earlier in the week.
The forum in Riyadh is set to host over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia representing more than 90 countries.
Building on the success of last year’s Growth Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, the focus will be on revitalizing global collaboration, fostering inclusive growth, and catalyzing action on energy for development.
With the aim of addressing pressing global challenges, the event will serve as a platform to bridge the North-South divide exacerbated by emerging economic policies, the energy transition, and geopolitical shocks.
According to Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu and his delegation will leverage this opportunity to advance discussions on his “Renewed Hope Agenda” for Nigeria.
