Celebration of life: Father of Moorex group chairman, Nze Amechi laid to rest in grand style

Amihe Ukpor, Nnewi South local government area of Anambra State came alive as top personalities from across the country trooped out in large numbers to join their friend and colleague, Engr. Chidi Charles Amechi in paying last respect to his late father, Nze Louis Emejulu Amechi.

He passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the graceful age of 81.

His death in came just two days to a planned thanksgiving ceremony in his honour and his wife, Lolo Bridget Obiageli Amechi.

Engr. Chidi Amechi, who is the chairman of Moorex Group accorded his late father a massively befitting burial, which has been described as a carnival of sort.

The funeral mass was officiated by His Lordship, Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye, Bishop of Nnewi Catholic Diocese and gave an opportunity for the guests have a reflection of their lives while extolling the virtues Late Nze Amechi.

Ukpor traditional symbol, dance, as well of food was in display, an indication of open handed welcome to guests that came from far and wide.

The testimonies were loud on how the late Nze Louis Amechi touched many lives in his community, even as he was described as man of peace who built the bridge of unity in his community and beyond.

His son, Chidi has consistently talked about how his late dad inculcated discipline and excellent upbringing that has helped him weather the storms of life.

He said the late dad will be greatly missed and his wise counsel in difficult times in the family, church and community missed.

Engr. Chidi also prayed that his late dad would find a peaceful repose in the bossom of the Lord.

A real estate mogul, Engr. Chidi in November last year bagged Real Estate Personality of the Year at the Leadership Excellence (LEEX) Award organised by Igbere TV.

One of his notable achievements is his dedication to fostering innovation within the real estate sector.
