The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has said the recent price increases in MultiChoice cable subscriptions will be looked into by relevant stakeholders.

Acting CEO of FCCPC, Adamu Abdullahi, disclosed to Channels Television on its Dateline Abuja programme on Thursday.

According to Abdullahi, the review of the recent price hike is to ensure subscribers in Nigeria get value for their money.

On Wednesday, 24 April 2024, Multichoice increased the prices of its offerings in Nigeria four months after its last increment, reviewing prices in its packages across the board.

The new prices will take effect from May 1, 2024.

According to MultiChoice, the increase was due to the rise in the cost of business operations.
