SaharaReporters earlier reported outrage from Nigerians over the video of the female student being bullied by her classmates.
The Nigerian government has shut down the Lead British International School, Abuja for three days over the case of a student of the school, Namtira Bwala who was physically bullied and assaulted by her classmate, Maryam Hassan.
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, announced the shutting down of the school following the outrage that trailed the viral video of how and where the female, Maryam brutally slapped and bullied Namtira.

In one of the videos, the victim was seen being slapped repeatedly by another female student while asking “Who broke my heart?”.
In the second video, the female student was seen being interrogated and slapped repeatedly by her classmate.
The videos generated a lot of reactions from Nigerians who are calling on the appropriate authorities to intervene with the view to getting justice for the victim.
SaharaReporters also earlier reported that the management of the school said it has commenced an investigation into the viral videos, saying that it was "deeply concerned" about the incident and noted that due investigation had begun into the matter.
SaharaReporters also obtained a video where some parents on Tuesday stormed the school and one of the aunties to the victim identified the bully student and gave her a slap.
SaharaReporters refrained from publishing the video since the students involved are minors.
