Distinguished banker and Chairman of Zenith Bank PLC, Jim Ovia, has been appointed as Chairman of the board of the Nigeria Educational Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The appointment, made by President Bola Tinubu, was officially disclosed Friday in a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

The statement said President Tinubu emphasized the crucial role that NELFUND plays in facilitating access to education for deserving students across the country, reiterating his administration’s commitment to transforming the educational sector and ensuring that no Nigerian is denied the application to pursue higher learning due to financial constraint.
