Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has revealed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, tried to block his exit from the club.
Casemiro signed for the Red Devils for a reported €70.65 million in the summer of 2022.
But it was not an easy transfer to complete, as Perez had a late change of mind.
“When talks were at final stages with Man United on personal terms, Florentino Pérez did not want me to leave.
“He didnt want to talk to me about leaving Real Madrid. I had to talk to other people at the club,” Casemiro told Chiringuito.
The Brazil midfielder, however, admitted he is still a huge fan of the LaLiga giants and watched their Champions League win over Manchester City in midweek.
“I suffered watching Real Madrid against City, I’m a big Real fan.
“Of course I was happy! For Real Madrid, there are my friends there, and for Manchester United too,” Casemiro added.
