Remo Stars boosted their title hopes with a 2-1 comeback win over Rivers United in Ikenne on Monday.
Former Remo Stars forward, Andy Okpe gave the visitors the lead from the spot in the 16th minute of the rescheduled matchday 22 encounter.
The scoreline remained static for the remainder of the first half.
Enterprising midfielder Hadi Haruna tapped home the equaliser from a low Franck Mawuena’s cross on 68 minutes.
Mawuena turned scorer seven minutes from time, nodding home Adams Olamilekan’s corner kick.
Remo Stars moved to second position in the table, one point adrift leaders Rangers following the win.
Rivers United remain in 13th position with 40 points from 27 matches.
