The Nigeria Police Force has revealed that the attackers of the Abuja-Kaduna train recently arrested are commanding many terrorist camps at several locations in the northern part of the country.

The Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi disclosed this in a post on his X account on Monday, adding that police personnel were working to decimate all the camps and ensure those behind them are brought to justice.

He said, The Abuja Kaduna train attackers are helping us to unravel so many things. They are to be investigated by the IRT. We need to do more interrogations. These guys are commanding camps at strategic locations in the North. But we shall decimate them all.

The March 28, 2022 train attack led to the killing and abduction of hundreds of passengers.

The police earlier disclosed that the masterminds behind the attack had been arrested for attacking the train, kidnapping, culpable homicide and terrorism.

Adejobi in a press briefing in Kaduna State, last Thursday, said one of the suspects identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi, otherwise known by the ominous moniker of Mandi, also participated in the abduction of students from Greenfield University in 2021.

The police had also disclosed that one of the arrested terrorists who masterminded the attack had over 40 AK-47 rifles.
