…Begins Federal Constituency Tour

The Chairman of Omoluabi Progressives in Osun, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, has urged all members of the caucus to remain focused on the goal of having one of them in the Bola Ige House in 2026.

Speaking during the inaugural Federal Constituency Tour with a visit to Osogbo Federal constituency, Alhaji Adesiji urged members not to be distracted by the unguarded utterances of some betrayers who have lost all rational value in the  society.

A statement signed by Oluwaseun Abosede, the Organising and Publicity Secretary of Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, said that at the event where the ward coordinators of Omoluabi Progressives in the Federal constituency were formally inaugurated, Alhaji Adesiji noted that aside from mobilizing people into the caucus, true Omoluabis should not take any individual who would clearly betray his principles for political gains seriously.

Apparently referring to a figure who recently didnt count Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as part of the Governors who had ruled Osun in his party, the Chairman said it is unreasonable for anyone to make such an absurd statement.

He pointed out that aside from the undeniable fact that the speaker couldn’t have been anything outside of former Governor Aregbesola, all available evidence showed that there has not been a Governor in Osun as successful as Aregbesola.

The statement quoted Adesiji as saying that, “Available facts indicate Aregbesola as the only Governor who won his second term election with an unmatched margin of victory, being the first to successfully secure a second term in Osun’s history.

“Alhaji Azeez added that Aregbesola is on record to have won his election as a contestant on the platform of the newly inaugurated mega-party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in 2014.

“It would be recalled that another Governor lost his election woefully about a month earlier on the same new platform.”

He stated that not a few indigenes and residents of Osun appreciated and rated Aregbesola above all other governors before or after his tenure due to his superlative performances which spread to all nooks and crannies of the State, touching all facets of socio-economic life.

“There was hardly a home which didn’t benefit from one policy or program of Aregbesola, with the people across the length and breadth of the State still expressing preference for his tenure.

“So, if you have a man who enjoyed God’s grace through Aregbesola calling him names and refusing to acknowledge him, know that something fundamentally has gone wrong with the person’s understanding,” he submitted.

Alhaji Adesiji urged Omoluabi Progressives members not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers like the commentator, as admonished in the Bible, stating that it seems to the betrayals that they have the world in their palms now, but will soon find out that they are on the path to political and life dungeon.

He concluded that the political scoundrels that the character and his ilk are, still nurse the pains of self-inflicted electoral misfortune they suffered, and there is nothing Aregbesola or anybody they derided can do about it.

Earlier, the Omoluabi Progressive Caucus Chairman and his entourage had paid a courtesy visit to the the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo where they were warmly welcomed.

Speaking on behalf of the King, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun “Larooye 11”, the Baba Kekere of Osogbo land, said the Osogbo people will always be happy and ready to receive Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola based on his historical governmental achievements while in office.

Baba Kekere reminded all listeners that it was OGBENI who completely transformed Osogbo, turning it around 360 degrees from a glorified Local Government to a befitting State Capital.

He described him as the Architect of Modern Osun, hence history and the people of Osogbo will always hold him in high regard.
