The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Saturday lost the two polling units in Benue State Government House in Makurdi, the state capital to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ortom’s anointed candidate and the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the ongoing gubernatorial election, Engr. Titus Uba is competing against Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
While Alia, a suspended Catholic priest garnered 130 votes, Titus Uba scored 43 votes at the Arts theatre polling unit 011, government house.
Similarly, at the Protocol polling unit 022, the APC candidate scored 36 votes while PDP garnered 10 votes.
Governor Ortom, who is expected to complete his second tenure in May 2023, is one of the seven governors who lost their senatorial bids in the recently concluded presidential and National Assembly elections.
