Milan have Davide Calabria back after a negative swab test, but Fikayo Tomori will need to undergo keyhole surgery on his knee.

The former Chelsea defender suffered an injury against Genoa last night and according to multiple reports in Italy, he will undergo surgery today.

Milan will release an official statement after the operation, possibly revealing the player’s recovery time.

Tomori had just returned to action after testing negative for COVID earlier this week.

Stefano Pioli is again short of options in the centre defence as Simon Kjaer has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Tomori’s injury is not expected to be season-ending, but his exact recovery time is still unknown.

The Rossoneri face Spezia, Juventus and Inter in the next three Serie A games.

However, their defender Davide Calabria has recovered from COVID, testing negative today so he will likely be available against Thiago Motta’s side on Monday.

Porca miseria!!! So that’s hopefully only 3 weeks!

Regrettably you’re right. Keyhole recovery is around 4 weeks. we can argue that he’s a fit sportsman but the rigors of full on training…it would be very risky to put him back in too early. Our hope is that the keyhole surgery won’t show up something more serious.

@No more BORING, boring inter.

Whenever one returns, another gets injured…! It’s like we’re in an injury purgatory and can’t escape. Almost becoming a conspiracy.

Jesus Christ, I saw 20 comments and thought “oh good, there must be a discussion going on”. Nope, just boring, childish nonsense. Grow up lads.
