The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PiCNG), a leading advocate for sustainable energy solutions, has announced the launch of the CNG Solutions Hackathon 2024. This event is set to be held today, April 24th at the Art Tech District in Abuja and aims to accelerate the widespread adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria.

The CNG Solutions Hackathon 2024 brings together a diverse array of participants, including tech enthusiasts, developers, designers, business professionals, and innovators. The goal is to foster collaboration and generate innovative solutions that address the challenges hindering the growth of CNG adoption in the country.

For this project, the participants will be sectioned into groups to encourage teamwork in developing functional prototypes that push the boundaries for CNG adoption in the country. Follow-up from industry experts is provided to reveal the authenticity of the project.

Meanwhile, in the spirit of competitiveness, every team will compete for recognition by displaying their best innovative solutions for this project that will allow for sustainable usage of CNG in Nigeria. To transform the team members projects into concrete solutions, provisions for support and training will be made for the CNG adoption.

The Programme Director/Chief Executive of PCNGI, Michael Oluwagbemi, said I am thrilled to express our enthusiasm and support for the upcoming CNG solutions Hackathon. We look forward to engaging the participants and supporting the development of innovative solutions that will accelerate the growth of CNG in Nigeria.
